JOSEPH DUMANSKI, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.
Dr.Dumanski grew up in the home office provided by his father, a practicing dentist. During the second world war, the senior Dr. Dumanski, a navy dentist, was assigned to the IWO Jima fleet. Compiling logistics, and anticipating, hellacious resistance, the 6th Marine Corps predesignated and reassigned him as a corpsman (medic) to the second assault wave. He survived in what is now known to be the battle that resulted in the highest casualty percentage in American military history. However, later he suffered with a lifelong history of PTSD leading to an abortive career and life.
Dr. Jospeh Dumanski D.M.D graduated from the Temple Dental School, and served externships at Shriner Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the Albert Einstein Medical Center all in Philadelphia. After serving as an associate to Alan Trachtenberg D.D.S. in Coram N.Y., and then further in 1985, the practice of Jack Riggio D.D.S. in Port Jefferson N.Y.
Dr.Dumanski has been awarded a Fellowship in The Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellowship in the Suffolk County Academy Of Medicine, and a Fellowship in the American Academy of Oral Implantology. He has been appointed to the Registration Committee of the Greater New York Dental Convention, the largest such meeting in the world. Additionally,Dr. Dumanski is or has been a member of many academic societies such as the American Academy of Periodontics. The American Society for the Study Of Orthodontics, The American Society of Anesthesiology, The International Congress of oral Implantology, The American Endodontic Society, The American orthodontic Society, amongst others. Dr.Dumanski has cultivated a unique and special approach to dental care: “Wellness Dentistry”, in which the objective is to mold a treatment plan that is suitable for each particular patient, understanding that one size does not fit all. and what is a desired goal for one patient, may be totally out of the question for another.
However, the one standard that is held for every patient is the elimination of any infection or when possible, preemptively staving off the potential for infection. (This prescient of methodology will ultimately be the model for all healthcare.)
Resultantly achieving a baseline, the patients priorities are further configured with choices and options (enhanced by significant knowledge and insight which is passed forward to the patient,) arriving at a mutually agreed upon sequence of steps, coordinated with a time line that suits a patient’s budget, insurance plan, or personal availability. Sometimes gaining that desired ideal function and appearance, may take some time, but working in partnership with the patient, he or she is guaranteed of always gaining better health, or doctor’s words “wellness”.
Ultimately, the heartfelt effort exhibited by every member of the Pride Dental Group, is in Dr. Dumanski’s words, “The purpose of their individual and collective being.”
