Pride Dental Group sends text messages to patients about their own care with our office: appointment reminders and confirmations, visits you have missed, forms we still need, instructions before and after a procedure, and replies to questions you text us. We text from 631-857-5358. Our office phone is 631-474-0410.
This is a customer care program. It is not a marketing list and we do not use it to advertise to people who are not our patients.
You are added when you give us your mobile number and agree to be texted: on our appointment request form, on our patient registration form, on a form at the front desk, or by telling a member of our staff. You can also start messages by texting START to 631-857-5358.
Agreeing to texts is never a condition of treatment. You can decline and still be seen, and we will call or email you instead.
Message frequency varies and depends on your care. Most patients receive around two to five messages in the run-up to an appointment, and a reminder when a cleaning is due. We do not text between 9pm and 8am Eastern.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates for text messages apply to messages we send and to any reply you send us.
Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. You will get one message confirming that you have been removed, and then nothing further.
Stopping texts does not cancel your appointments and does not remove you as a patient. We will contact you by phone or email instead. To start again, text START or tell us at the office.
Reply HELP or INFO to any message, or call us at 631-474-0410 during office hours.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your consent to be texted with anyone else for their own marketing. No third party, no affiliate, no partner, no data broker.
Your number is used by our office to contact you about your care, and it is handled by the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf and by your own mobile carrier. Those companies act only as service providers for us and may not use your number for anything else.
Text messages are part of your record and are kept with it, in line with our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Text messages are not a secure channel. We keep them deliberately plain: a time, a place, and a phone number. We do not text diagnoses, test results, treatment details, medications, or anything else about your health. If we need to discuss something clinical, we will ask you to call us or we will send it by email.
Please do not text us anything urgent. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. If you have swelling that is affecting your breathing or swallowing, go to an emergency room.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you change your mobile number or give up a number, please tell us, so we do not text somebody who is not you.
If we change how this program works we will update this page and change the date at the top.
